Highlights

From your Scheduling Settings, you can...

  • Completely disable the Sub Requests feature as whole

  • Enable/Disable auto-approve to approve sub requests/trades automatically when there are no shift conflicts or hours limitations

  • Enable/Disable auto-cancel to automatically cancel open and/or pending sub requests X hours (you specify) prior to the shift's start time

  • Enable/Disable a sub request cutoff time so that staff cannot request a sub X hours (you specify) prior to their shift's start time

Auto-Approve Sub Requests

Similar to the automatic cancellation of sub requests, the result of an automatically approve sub requests will show up in your processed history here:

Expired sub requests (open or pending approval) will flag as such on the processed page and on the staff's My Sub Requests menu page as well.

Choose a Sub Request Cutoff Time

Another great feature available is the ability to control the timeframe during which your staff can request a sub. Simply set the hour(s) prior to the shift start time (e.g. 48 hours) before which you would like to prohibit sub requests. They will then see this message if they are within that timeframe:

Automatically Cancel a Sub Request

A close follow-up to the cutoff is the auto-cancel feature. If you or your schedule managers are too busy to approve everyone's sub requests or shift trades, you can tell DigiQuatics to cancel any open or pending sub request automatically "X hours" (e.g. 12 hours) prior to the shift time. Then, a push notification is sent to the employee who requested the sub reminding them that the shift is still their responsibility to work.

Visit your DigiQuatics Account Settings to Explore Additional Scheduling Features

In addition to the above sub requests features, you'll find even more available in your settings. Look for the menu titled "Scheduling, Employee Availability, and Time Off Requests" to enable (or disable) these extra features.
